Monday 19th May
A juvenile Mistle Thrush which flew in from Exmouth was the highlight of another quiet day, taking the title of the first autumn migrant of the year! In the estuary wader counts included 38 Sanderling, 26 Whimbrel, 23 Turnstone, 18 Dunlin, five Ringed and three Grey Plover, two Curlew and a Bar-tailed Godwit. Elsewhere a Great Northern Diver was offshore with c25 Sandwich and 11 'commic' Tern whilst three Jackdaw and a Rook were overhead.
