The first Storm Petrel of the year flew south early morning in calm conditions with three distant probable Balearic Shearwater and five Sandwich Tern mid morning and two Arctic Skua and many distant Manx Shearwater in wet and windier conditions early evening.
Elsewhere 13 Sanderling were on the beach, 13 Curlew, four Whimbrel and two Grey Plover were in the estuary and the first fledged Whitethroat were in Greenland Lake.

Other Wildlife: The first Black-tailed Skimmer of the year was at the Main Pond, with the migrant moths Bordered Straw and half a dozen Rush Veneer disturbed from vegetation. Hoverflies included three species of Volucella plumehorns; Bumblebee, Hornet and Pied.
