Saturday 16th May

Offshore single Arctic and Little Tern were off John's Watch with two Great Northern Diver on the sea. Wader counts over the high tide included 230 Dunlin, 54 Sanderling, 13 Ringed Plover, nine Whimbrel and six Bar-tailed Godwit. Elsewhere three Red Kite flew through during the morning with 30 Swallow, five House Martin and single Rook and Jackdaw flew through with a Wheatear in front of the hide.

Wildlife News: The first Brown Argus and Common Blue of the year were on the wing along with Red Admiral and good numbers of other invertebrates making the most of the weather.
