Wednesday 20th May

A pair of Wigeon offshore before flying south were the most unexpected record of the day, also offshore a Great Northern Diver and just a single Sandwich Tern. Counts from the estuary included 140 Sanderling, 51 Dunlin, 15 Whimbrel, nine Ringed Plover and a Bar-tailed Godwit. Elsewhere a Hobby flew through offshore and a single Wheatear remains by the hide.
