Storm Babet saw very little passing offshore despite the high winds with six Mediterranean Gull and a Red-throated Diver the highlights. A big arrival of wildfowl in the estuary saw counts of 1205 Wigeon, 173 Teal, 142 Dark and 42 Pale-bellied Brent Geese with the Green-winged Teal or hybrid still present along with three Pintail, two Shoveler and the first Red-breasted Merganser of the winter.
Also in the estuary counts included 239 Redshank,
