The first Teal of the autumn was an early arrival in the saltmarsh, with the first juvenile Sandwich Tern of the year, also in the estuary. Other records included 21 Sandwich and six Common Tern, very few Mediterranean Gull, five Turnstone, three Whimbrel, three Grey Plover, two Dunlin and two Greenshank.
Elsewhere a Spotted Flycatcher was another early migrant in Dead Dolphin Wood.
Ringing News: Two ringed Sandwich Tern were noted a new bird ringed in Ireland and a regular KDB for an eighth year.
