Counts from The Bight over the low high tide included 73 Ringed Plover, 61 Dunlin (20 juveniles), 53 Sandwich Tern, five Sanderling and five Turnstone. Also present the first Wheatear of the autumn.
Ringing News: By the end of July a total of 58 Exe colour-ringed Oystercatcher were back for another winter on the estuary, a third of the 175 birds recorded last winter.
