A juvenile Little Ringed Plover was in The Bight over the morning tide with 63 Sandwich and 15 Common Tern, 51 Ringed Plover, including 10 juveniles, 24 Dunlin and 23 Sanderling.
Elsewhere two Arctic Skua and a Great Northern Diver were offshore, three Swift were overhead and the pair of Sparrowhawk completed a food pass over the successful nest site.
Other Wildlife: It was all about flies today with a ragwort gall picture-winged fly Sphenella marginata, the hoverfly Figwort Blacklet Cheilosia variabilis, with its characteristic open wings, and on Wild Carrot the gall of the midge Kiefferia pericarpilcola.

A Hornet was weaving through the flowers in Greenland Lake and on the Main Pond were a few Small Red-eyed Damselfly, a Common Darter and an Emperor Dragonfly.
