A look off Cockwood Steps late afternoon saw the first Goldeneye of winter with a pair feeding with five Red-breasted Merganser in the estuary, also present a Black-necked and six Great Crested Grebe, three Greenshank and 150+ Dark-bellied Brent Geese. The 'highlight' though was the first Greylag Goose of the year, flying north with a party of Canada Geese.
Elsewhere the Spoonbill was again on Finger Point over high tide and the immature male Eider remains offshore.
