Saturday 8th December

Seawatching saw six Red-throated and four Great Northern Diver head south, most in the first hour, along with 70 Gannet, 45 Kittiwake, 25 auk sp, eight Razorbill and a skua sp, probably Pomarine. On the sea two Great Northern and a Red-throated Diver, 10 Great-crested Grebe and two Common Scoter.

Counts from the estuary included 172 Brent Geese, 162 Grey Plover, 105 Knot, 28 Bar-tailed Godwit, three Goldeneye, two Eider, eight Great-crested, a Little and the Slavonian Grebe. Elsewhere four Chiffchaff and a Coal Tit were on site, four Snipe and a Little Egret were in Greenland Lake and two Shoveler were on the Main Pond.
