Large numbers of waders packed onto Finger Point at high tide, although the majority of Oystercatcher were absent elsewhere. Counts included c2295 Dunlin, 150 Bar-tailed Godwit, 148 Grey Plover, 129 Curlew, 127 Knot, 25 Ringed Plover and 23 Sanderling, with 12 Grey Plover preferring the solitude of a groyne post along the beach.
Also in the estuary the adult Spoonbill feeding at low tide, 637 Wigeon, 193 Teal, 130 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 95 Shelduck, two adult Mediterranean Gull, a Water Pipit in the Bight, a Kingfisher and a ♂ Red-breasted Merganser.
Elsewhere the eight Eider (six ♀ & two imm ♂) were close inshore off Warren Point before moving to the estuary at low tide, 25 Great Crested Grebe were also offshore with five Red-throated and four Great Northern Diver. A wisp of 12 Snipe together rose from middle of Warren Point, two pairs of Shoveler were on the ponds and four Chiffchaff remain on site.
Other Wildlife: The now resident Grey Squirrel was in the Entrance Bushes.
