WeBS day, counts on the estuary included; c1400 Dunlin, 839 Oystercatcher, 775 Wigeon, 351 Dark and 10 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, 176 Teal, 145 Grey and 35 Ringed Plover, 143 Bar-tailed Godwit, 107 Redshank, 81 Shelduck, 66 Snipe, 54 Knot, 32 Turnstone, eight Sanderling, eight Red-breasted Merganser and five Greenshank.
Elsewhere two Great Northern Diver and two Eider were close offshore with counts from an early morning seawatch before the rain including 122 Gannet, c100 auk sp, 65 Kittiwake, six Red-throated Diver and a Mediterranean Gull.
