Counts from the high tide roost included 25 Sanderling15 Dunlin, six Mediterranean Gull (two ad & four 2cy), four Grey and three Ringed Plover, two Bar-tailed Godwit and single Knot and Whimbrel.

Three other 2cy Mediterranean Gull were offshore feeding with 550 Herring and seven Black-headed Gull, the flock attracting in some of the 60+ Manx Shearwater passing and six Sandwich Tern. Also offshore five Common Scoter and a Great Northern Diver with the first five Balearic Shearwater of the year reported heading south.

Other Wildlife: The overcast conditions reduced insect activity, although five species of bumblebee carried on regardless with Ferruginous Bee-grabber Sicus ferrugineus also on the wing.

Flying for the first time this year, Hook-streak Grass-veneer Crambus lathoniellus and Bright Neb Argolamprotes micella and a ragwort picture-winged fly Sphenella marginata.
