Another very wet and overcast day, attempts at monitoring and ring reading curtailed by a lack of shelter and ultimately a damp scope! Counts made in the estuary included 131 Bar-tailed Godwit, 108 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 91 Shelduck, 11 Red-breasted Merganser, seven Great-crested and the two Black-necked Grebe, four Greenshank and a Kingfisher.
