Early morning a summer plumaged Great Northern Diver was calling off the seawall with 10 others passing offshore. At least six were present mid evening along with 118 Black-headed and a Common Gull, 26 Common Scoter, 13 Manx Shearwater, 10 Sandwich Tern, a pale phase Arctic Skua, an Eider and, with the scoter, a drake Shoveler.
Counts from the estuary included 34 Whimbrel, nine Sanderling, five Curlew, two Ringed Plover, two Dunlin and single Bar-tailed Godwit and Redshank.
Elsewhere eight Swallow and single House Martin and Swift were overhead and four Mallard ducklings and four Little Grebe chicks were on the Main Pond.
