The flat calm conditions offshore helped reveal at least 17 Great Northern Diver roosting in the bay, with a dark phase Arctic Skua hassling Kittiwake, 76 Black-headed and two 2cy Mediterranean Gull, c30 Manx Shearwater, a Sandwich Tern and an immature male Eider.
Elsewhere 16 Whimbrel, 11 Dunlin, eight Bar-tailed Godwit, seven Ringed Plover and seven Sanderling were present over high tide, with a Lesser Whitethroat and a new territorial Reed Warbler on site and 15 Swallow and a Sand Martin overhead.
Other Wildlife: At least two Common Dolphin and two Harbour Porpoise were feeding offshore, with a Bank Vole on the Back Path and Palmate Newt in a golf course pond. Several Painted Lady, Red Admiral and Diamondback Moth were on the wing, with an increase in Marmalade Hoverfly.
