A 2cy Little Gull was distantly offshore mid evening, the first of the year, presumably the same bird that was off Exmouth in the morning at Topsham yesterday.
Also offshore at least 80 Black-headed and six Common Gull, 22 Common Scoter, the immature male Eider and a summer plumaged Great Northern Diver.
Counts from the high tide included 30+ Whimbrel, 15 Sanderling, seven Bar-tailed Godwit, two Ringed Plover and single Dunlin and Turnstone.
Year list addition:
144. Little Gull
Ringing News: A colour-ringed Bar-tailed Godwit present on 26-28th April had been ringed at Texel, Holland in 2013. This was its first overseas recovery and it was seen again in Holland at Vlieland on 30th April, some 650km from the Warren.
