Wednesday 21st May
A continuing midsummer feel to proceedings. Wader counts over the high tide were, with the exception of Oystercatcher, limited to 14 Ringed Plover, 12 Dunlin, four Sanderling and four Whimbrel.
Elsewhere 20 Manx Shearwater, 14 Sandwich Tern and a Great Northern Diver were offshore and the local male Kestrel was hunting over site, presumably with chicks to feed back on the mainland.
